When it comes to professional wedding photos, I am about as picky as they get, and for good reason.  Having watched dozens of wedding photographers working, and scrolling through hundreds and hundreds of photographers wedding picture portfolios, I’ve come to realize that truly amazing wedding photos are not just rare, they are extremely rare!

When you have seen as many wedding photographers as I have, making recommendations on who to use as your professional wedding photographer is not a task I take lightly.  I am careful not to use or recommend names unless they have proven themselves as a truly professional wedding photographer.  They must have the ability to capture emotion so your wedding day photos are more beautiful than you would ever imagine.  They must be able to interact with YOU as a client in such a way that you remain relaxed and clear on your wedding day.  They must be able to take control and move people where they need to be, maintain a strict schedule and remain calm, creative and brilliant when things like weather and other problems arise.  At the same time your wedding photographer should maintain a smile and sense of humor that makes you, your family and guests feel like they have known the photographer for many years.  Many Brides don’t take into account the enormous influence a wedding photographer has on their wedding day.  Of all the vendors you hire for your wedding, your wedding photographer will spend more time interacting with you, your family and guests more than ALL your other wedding vendors combined!  The experience you have on your wedding day is often more important than the wedding pictures themselves. When you are relaxed, clear and know what is happening next because your wedding photographer is able to communicate with you clearly, the wedding day photos come so naturally…
